AGAIN & BEYOND

I’ve seen You move in many ways

Not always obvious or in grand displays

But steady like the morning sun

Whispering softly, “Look what I have done.”

In doors that have closed, yet steered me right

In the unseen hands that held me near and tight

In prayers I thought were left unheard

But somehow answered down to the word

I’ve traced Your prints every single time

In the broken things that turned out perfectly fine

In tears that watered my closet floors

Until pressure subsided and mercy poured

So how could I forget Your ways, O Lord

When every “then” I look back through

Is proof of what You always do

You’ve done it before, You’ll do it again

Same God in the valley

Same God in the win

There’s a lot I don’t know for a definite claim

But this here is a fire I won’t allow tame

I’d bet my own breath and stand on this ground

That what You have started You’ll bring fully around

Not luck, not chance

Nor my power, my might

A track record with history

Not enough books could write

I’ve seen far too much to call this a guess

This isn’t misguided to trust You will bless

Even when the silence feels greater today

I’ll stand on the memory

You’ll do what You say

You haven’t run out

Abundance of grace

No matter the timing it’s Your will, Your pace

If You did it then with less of me whole

What more could be done with all of my soul?

I promise to wait, faith left unscathed

That’s the very least I could do

I trust in this life that has been saved

I’m not done believing in You

I may not know now what tomorrow will bring

And the favors yet to extend

But I know the One who holds everything

You Again…

And beyond that again.
